Development direction of dry-type transformer in recent years

The annual output of dry-type transformers has reached 10000MVA, becoming one of the countries with the largest production and sales volume of dry-type transformers in the world. With the promotion and application of SC (B) 9 series with low noise (the noise of distribution transformers below 2500kVA has been controlled within 50dB) and energy saving (the no-load loss has dropped by 25%), the performance indicators and manufacturing technology of dry-type transformers in China have reached the international advanced level. With the popularization and application of dry-type transformers, their production technology has also made great progress. It can be predicted that the future dry-type transformers will be further developed in the following aspects.
(1) Energy saving and low noise: With the introduction of new low consumption silicon steel sheets, foil winding structures, stepped iron core joints, environmental maintenance requirements, noise research, computer optimization design and other new materials, new processes and new technologies, the future dry-type transformers will become more energy-saving and quiet.

(3) Certification of environmental protection characteristics: based on the European specification HD464, the research and certification of weather resistance (CO, C1, C2), environment resistance (EO, E1, E2) and fire resistance (FO, F1, F2) characteristics of dry-type transformers will be carried out.
(4) Large capacity: from 50~2500kVA dry-type transformers dominated by distribution transformers to 10000~20000kVA/35kV power transformers, with the continuous increase of urban power load, urban grid regional substations are increasingly going deep into urban centers, residential communities, large factories and mines and other load centers, and 35kV large capacity residential center power transformers will be widely used.
(5) Multi function combination: from a single transformer to a multi-functional combined transformer with air cooling, maintenance enclosure, temperature computer interface, zero sequence transformer, power metering, enclosed bus and side outgoing line.
(6) Multi category development: from distribution transformers to power station auxiliary transformers, excitation transformers, subway traction rectifier transformers, high current furnace transformers, nuclear power plants, marine and oil production platforms and other special transformers and multi-purpose areas. Among them, the dry-type traction transformer used for urban subway and rail transit has three levels of voltage: 10, 20 and 35kV, and the capacity is 8002500 and 3300kVA. In order to reduce harmonic pollution, 12 pulse rectification is carried out to 24 pulse rectification. It can be predicted that the distribution transformers in the 21st century will be resin insulated dry-type transformers with superior performance, low noise and energy conservation.
