Fire hazard of transformer
1. Transformer fire accidents may be caused by internal short circuit, grounding fault, nearby cable fire, and fire, explosion and other emergencies caused by external short circuit and discharge of transformer.
2. The transformer fire accident may cause serious damage to the transformer, resulting in forced shutdown of the unit. In serious cases, all internal and external power supplies may be shut down.
3. After the transformer catches fire, it may cause explosion injury to the surrounding personnel and facilities, and the toxic smoke generated will pollute the air in the plant area, causing personal poisoning, asphyxia and other casualties.
Fire extinguishing of dry-type transformer
The personnel who find the fire early shall immediately report to the shift chief operator. The on-site personnel shall first disconnect the power supply, stop using the cooler and quickly use the fire extinguishing device to extinguish the fire. Once the transformer catches fire, it shall be isolated from the system immediately. If it cannot be isolated, dry fire extinguishers, carbon dioxide fire extinguishers, etc. shall be used to extinguish the fire.
1. If not tripped
Immediately pull off the switch disconnectors on each side of the transformer. If the safe operation of adjacent equipment is endangered, stop the operation of adjacent equipment in time;
2. Shutdown of cooling system;
3. Check whether the fire deluge valve works normally, otherwise try to put fire water into operation, or use fire fighting appliances to extinguish the fire as appropriate, and use dry fire extinguishers to extinguish the fire.
